The Craft Business Club is a weekly, group meeting designed to bring like-minded craft entrepreneurs together to share ideas. The session lasts one hour, and groups meet each Tuesday and Thursday morning.

The club was started by author, Dr. Gordon Hamme as a way for craft makers and creative artisans to share their business and creative experiences.

Each week, small groups (no more than six) meet to discuss creative ideas, challenges and business successes. The club is ideal for those looking to start a craft business or those wanting to grow their existing business. Topics discussed can vary depending on the needs of the group, but can include:

  • How to set up a craft business

  • How to sell jewellery and other crafts online

  • How to market your business

  • Best distribution channels (such as your own website, eBay, Etsy or Amazon)

The first three introductory meetings are completely free. After this, if you would like to continue, the cost is £40 per month, or you can enrol in one of the full BCCA courses in partnership with the Birmingham Assay Office.
